Seth Anderson
Tax Consultant
Seth is responsible for preparing personal and business tax returns, tax planning and any financial consulting that clients might need. He is currently the coordinator of the UVM Tax Schools which provides continuing education to about 400 tax professionals. He has written several sections of The National Income Tax Workbook and is an instructor at the UVM Tax Schools as well as a guest lecturer for a UVM undergraduate class. Seth is a past President of the VT Tax Practitioner’s Association, and is on a committee that meets once a year with Congress’ Joint Committee on Taxation (JCT) as well as the IRS in Washington D.C. He graduated from Bryant University with a concentration in accounting and was a Captain in the US Army. He is licensed as an Enrolled Agent and a member of the National Associations of Tax Preparers (NATP), VT Tax Practitioners Association (VTPA) and the Land Grant University Tax Education Foundation. Seth, originally from Mendon, VT currently resides in Charlotte, VT with his wife Sera, son Caden, and dog Gia.
Deena Miller
Tax Accountant
Deena works primarily during tax season preparing individual tax returns, 1099s and W-2s. She is responsible for preparing tax returns, communicating with clients and gathering additional information to finish tax returns. She is a member of the Vermont Tax Practitioner Association. Deena resides in Ferrisburgh, VT with her husband Dave, daughters Leah and Ally, and son Ethan.
Carissa Ethier
Assistant Tax Accountant
Carissa Ethier joined Birch Tree Tax’s team as an Assistant Tax Accountant in 2023. She is learning the ins and outs of tax preparation from Adam, Deena, and Seth. Her responsibilities consist of initial data input and more complex tax return preparation. Carissa hails from Boston and now currently resides in Burlington. When she is not completing tax returns, Carissa also works at Code Style Club, where she has been an accomplished hair stylist for 8 years. In her free time, Carissa enjoys traveling, fishing, gardening, and photography.
Natalie Dedon
Operations Manager
As the Operations Manager at Birch Tree Tax, Natalie communicates with clients, processes client materials, and functions as in-house operations support. Prior to her position here, Natalie has worked in all sectors relating to plants, from landscaping to genetic research.
